About This Coffee
A dedication to cultivating Ethiopia’s best organic coffee beans has earned our small-scale farmers from Beloya (Kochere District) an excellent score of 87.25 by the Speciality Coffee Association.
To achieve this, fresh cherries are brought to the Beloya washing station where they are pulped and fermented for 36-48 hours, and the fermented coffee is subsequently washed and dried for 18 days to retain approximately 11.5% moisture. Quality is assured with regular pH and TDS measurements taken throughout the process and defects are detected using a laser colour sorter in the dry mill. So it’s easy to see why we’ve been sourcing our Ethiopian single origin coffee from Beloya for nearly 10 years.
When the beans reach our roastery in Somerset they are lightly roasted to accentuate their special flavour profile and are shipped-to-order to ensure you’re getting the best freshly roasted coffee in the UK.
Sustainability & Traceability
